It is reported that against the continuous downturn of refrigerator industry, Homa ranked the 3rd in June for production capacity and saw a stable growth in Chinese domestic market.
Driven by the European debt crisis, early release of consumption demand and rising cost of materials and labor, overall in June both production capacity and total sales have undertaken a fall of over 5% year-on-year. Throughout the continuous downturn, Haier, Hisense and Homa have been the top 3 ranking in refrigerator production capacity, among which Homa has kept her pace with a stable increase of 2%.
It is notable that in June the domestic sales were 6.09 million pieces, representing a drop of 9.6% over the same period in 2011. In opposite there were almost 2.19 million pieces exported, achieving a comparative growth of 4.6%. It is estimated that the new government policy of subsidies for energy-saving home appliances, which came into effect in the beginning of June, will stimulate the refrigerator industry later this year.
